Lefkada is very easy to access. No boat is needed, since the island is connected to the land of Aitoloakarnania by a bridge, making arrival and departure real simple. Moreover the crossing of the bridge is free of charge. You can come to Lefkada by car from Athens, using the national road Athens-Patra.
